Silence/Stille/Schweigen

Inspired by a poetry workshop conducted by poets and academics which focused among other texts on Eugen Gomringer’s poem “Schweigen”, Gesa Stedman has produced a version of the poem transposed into Morse, and an accompanying piece entitled “Lärm” (“Noise”). Both were shown at the pop-up exhibition Silence/Stille/Schweigen which included art from Humboldt-Universität’s art collection as well as works by contemporary artists from Oxford and Berlin at the Hörsaalruine Charité from 9-12 April 2026. The exhibition was co-curated by Christina Kuhli (HU Berlin), Kate McLoughlin (Oxford), and Gesa Stedman.
